About our guides

Who writes these, how we test them, and what they're built for.

Why we started

Anglers sharing what actually works

We kept trading tips after every trip and eventually turned those notes into guides. The first one went to a handful of fishing friends.

How a guide gets made

Fished first, written second

Every tip starts on the water and is checked by someone who has been there. A technique that cannot survive a second outing does not stay in.

How we work

Three rules we hold to

01

No secondhand information

Nothing gets described unless one of us actually caught fish using it.

02

Share what didn't work

The failed mornings stay in. They are usually the useful part.

03

Corrections in the open

Mistakes get fixed on the page, with a note on what changed.

One full guide and one short field note from the lake, sent the morning they go out.
